Lia Kali crowns herself at MMVV and teams up with Shakira in Madrid right before tomorrow's historic Red Bull Symphonic

In the middle of this year's sprawling 'Kaelis Tour 2.0', and before heading back to Colombia to face the final leg of the tour in big venues this winter — her farewell to the stage until 2028 — Barcelona artist Lia Kali is living through what are surely the 5 most euphoric days of the tour so far.

Three years after her first appearance at MMVV as part of the OFF section of Cases de la Música, last Friday Lia Kali returned to the Osona capital, this time with her second album 'Kaelis' (Propaganda pel Fet!) in tow and a long list of milestones on the global stage. This year's MMVV date, however, was set to close the festival's official Friday concert programme at Plaça Major, and the girl from Carmel, with the square packed and the crowd fully hers, turned the legendary square in the City of Saints into Catalonia's musical epicentre for the night.

With just a few hours to sleep and an express trip to Madrid, two sensational back-to-back dates awaited her: opening Shakira's concerts on Saturday and yesterday Sunday at the lavish venue the global Colombian star debuted this weekend, which will host up to 12 dates as part of her Residencia Madrid within the LMYL World Tour 2026. Built from scratch on the outskirts of southern Madrid, the venue features several themed areas hosting tens of thousands of fans in the hours before Shakira's main performance. As the closing act and immediate lead-in to Shakira's shows, Lia Kali delivered two short but intense sets on Saturday and yesterday Sunday, aimed specifically at the Colombian star's fans — a preview of each night's show by the world's number-one wolf of Latin music.

Because it's never enough for the Barcelona star, and true to her habit of stacking milestone after milestone through these four years of nonstop releases, Lia Kali will headline tomorrow, Tuesday 22 September, at Madrid's Auditorio Nacional with "Red Bull Symphonic: Lia Kali, La Música Camina Conmigo," becoming the first Spanish artist to take part in this highly acclaimed series of extraordinary music events, which has previously featured artists such as Trueno, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, Wizkid, John Legend and Pablo Chill-E. With musical direction by Pablo Donaire and orchestral direction by Lucas Vidal leading a symphony orchestra assembled especially for the occasion, Lia Kali will deliver a one-of-a-kind show tomorrow, running through key pieces from her catalogue alongside a good handful of new material, backed by a symphony orchestra that will take the Barcelona artist's creative universe to another level. The historic show sold out within days and can be followed live via the artist's YouTube channel tomorrow, Tuesday, at 8:30 pm (Madrid time).
